Lookbook #10 - GOING GREEN
SMALL STEPS CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE
In a world where sustainability is a much-discussed (and important!) topic, we wanted to launch a lookbook about ‘going green’ together with Margreet (@knotjeknus). Using your hobby to make the world a little better is a win-win situation, right?
Margreet has designed FACE SCRUBBIES (with accompanying laundry bag), a FOLDABLE NET BAG, FAVORITE CLEAN CLOTHS and a 100% cotton SHOWER POUF. Making and using these items may seem like small steps, but if we all become a little 'greener' it will give great results!
All designs are available in a kit (pattern + matching yarn) but also as a digital pattern only. When creating the kits, we chose natural shades such as 005 Clay, 009 Limestone, 028 Brunet, 073 Jade Gravel, 079 Aventurine, 080 Eucalyptus, 088 Forest and 089 Gold.
Do you prefer your own colors? Then buy the pattern and choose the colors that make you happy - or the colors that best suit your interior.

FAVORITE CLEAN CLOTHS
If you must clean… then you better use beautiful and handy cleaning tools! The Favorite Clean Cloths make everything a little better. Your countertop will be clean again in no time, thanks to these colorful and structured cloths.
In the pattern by Margreet (@knotjeknus) you will find two different types of cloths, both made with the Favorite. You can make them one color or choose to go crazy making stripes . A kit contains several colors Favorite, so the combination for each cloth is up to you.
FACE SCRUBBIES WITH LAUNDRY/GIFT BAG
Throwing away cotton pads every day doesn't feel very good. Especially because there are good alternatives. For example these Face Scrubbies, designed by Margreet (@knotjeknus) and made with our Favorite. A new yarn from Yarn and Colors that because it is unmercerized is very nice and soft. In addition, the Favorite has a fine structure, which, in combination with the puff stitches of the Face Scrubbies, ensures that you can clean the delicate skin around your eyes without having any trouble.
Are you going to wash the Face Scrubbies? As a bonus, this pattern also includes a pattern for making a crocheted laundry bag. You can also use this laundry bag as a storage bag for the Face Scrubbies. And how about packing a little gift in this bag? Put a (dry) flower on top and you no longer need wrapping paper.
FOLDABLE NET BAG
Plastic bags are so 2015! This Foldable Net Bag, designed by Margreet (@knotjeknus) is sturdy due to the use of the Must-Have and the oval bottom. You can also fold it and keep it in your handbag, so you always have a bag with you when you walk through stores or across the market.
SHOWER POUF
Grab your favorite soap bar or organic soap and combine it with your homemade Shower Pouf. Foam and getting super clean is guaranteed. Margreet (@knotjeknus) has designed the Shower Pouff in two sizes: the smaller version with the Must-Have and the XL version with the Epic. Both 100% cotton. After your shower, squeeze your Shower Pouf very well, so that it can dry properly.

MEET KNOTJEKNUS
Margreet, also known on Instagram as @Knotjeknus, is happily married and has three lovely daughters. She works as a pediatric nurse in the hospital. She learned how to crochet in 2016 by watching YouTube videos. She started making a number of trial (and error ??) Granny Squares and her very first real project was a beautiful big blanket in which she could use all kinds of stitches.
Not much later Margreet discovered Instagram and gained so much inspiration that her crochet to-do list became very long (sounds familiar, right?). She created her own account and regularly posted her own crochet creations there. Later on she started crocheting orders and she enjoyed the enthusiastic reactions she received.
She prefers to crochet toys, babyslippers, blankets and other (maternity) gifts for babies and / or children. She often and likes to work according to a pattern and sometimes gives her own twist to these designs. Eventually she started carefully designing her own patterns.
